NASTC
The National Association of Small Trucking Companies (NASTC) was founded in 1989 to help small trucking companies lower their costs and compete more effectively with their larger competitors. NASTC offers a wide range of products and services to their members to help them run more efficient and compliant companies. NASTC currently represents over 1600 trucking companies in the U.S. and Canada.
Big trucking companies operate with very expensive and very sophisticated software systems that smaller companies cannot afford. They employ expensive personnel just to analyze the vast amounts of data that these systems generate. They do all of this to help them make better decisions on all aspects of their business. Although we believe that small trucking companies have many advantages over their larger competitors, they tend to lag behind in the use of technology and information systems that could help them. NASTC recognizes this.
To address this technology gap the principals of NASTC, David Owen and Buster Anderson, solicited the assistance of an old friend and technology entrepreneur Robert Harter. They decided that the best way to address this problem was to form a new company to develop and deliver affordable technology solutions to smaller trucking companies. The new company, NAStek National, LLC, established their first priority as the development of an affordable software solution for small trucking companies. MYSTC software was created with needs of the 1600+ NASTC member trucking companies in mind.
